Product Description

Ear tags increase the risk of inflammation, tear the animal ear, and can be tampered with. So, ID Tech developed a range of animal tracking RFID bolus tags suitable for farmers or anyone looking for an easy, fast, and secure way to identify and track animals. Our IDT bolus tags are specifically designed for cattle, sheep, and goats to exemplify superior performance, reliability, and long-term retention. The unit is encased in biocompatible glass, making them innocuous to animals. It is chemical resistant, and suitable for implantation in the rumen (second stomach) of the animal.

IDT RFID bolus tags are easily implanted orally using a special bolus applicator or gun. It is engineered to provide a sophisticated, tamper-proof, yet economical method of employing radio frequency for permanent, positive, and safe identification.

The bolus tag has an IP-68 rating that provides a high level of water ingress safety and has a microchip that has read and write access to EEPROM. Our low-frequency IDT bolus tag is manufactured in accordance with ISO 11784/11785 FDX-B and HDX international standards. It offers advanced features, has a unique ID number, long life, small size, easy to use, and a flexible solution for animal identification and tracking. The product is supplied ready to use with the serial number encoded within the chip.

Permanent and Tamper-Proof Identification

The RFID Bolus Tag's glass encapsulation ensures long-term operation within livestock, resisting environmental stresses and tampering attempts. Once administered, it provides a secure, non-removable method for reliably identifying animals throughout their life cycle.

Compliance and International Standards

Manufactured in accordance with ISO 11784/11785 FDX-B standards and ICAR approval, this bolus tag guarantees compatibility worldwide. It delivers secure and standardized data for livestock traceability, meeting the regulation requirements of many countries and livestock management programs.

Durability and Long Service Life

Designed for harsh farm environments, the bolus tag operates efficiently in extreme temperatures ranging from -25C to +85C. Its life expectancy exceeds 20 years in vivo, ensuring consistent performance and minimizing the frequency of replacements for farmers.
